Make the oil-paper umbrella thin, tough and soft, smooth, transparent, breathable and elastic, white and strong, moisture-proof and moth-proof. Secondly, the orchid bamboo used as umbrella bones is natural bamboo independently grown by its own factory staff.
After careful selection and felling of bamboos, the orchid bamboos are subjected to various artificial processing such as soaking bamboo, steaming bamboo, drying bamboo, planing bamboo, carving bamboo, drilling, assembling, etc., and then used prepared cotton thread to wear it into an oil-paper umbrella. At this point, the shape of a handmade oil-paper umbrella is basically completed.
Next, the umbrella surface with patterns carefully hand-painted by a professional painter is glued to the skeleton, trimmed, and shaped. The process of brushing tung oil and drying is repeated many times, and finally wrapped with blue and white porcelain baotou with Chinese cultural characteristics. Through the entire eighty-six processes, a traditional handmade oil-paper umbrella was completed.
